Whole-Brain Circuit Reconstruction

Mammalian whole-brain neural circuit reconstruction is fast approaching reality, with the mouse brain being the first target. These types of maps will provide complete wiring diagrams at the synaptic-level for the whole brain, allowing for the first time an understanding of how the most complicated thing in the known universe is put together.

Rapid progress is being made. Stay tuned.

Help map the whole mouse brain circuit or read more about whole-brain connectomics.
